Living as a student one finds earning money difficult, the reason being there’s a critical pressure of career, curriculum and society as well. There are, however, a number of ways to combat the need for frugality without neglecting your studies or your social life. Here are ten ways for a student to earn money while you’re graduating…

1. Earn Money by Selling your Notes

A traditional way of earning money in your student life is selling your old notes. This is a one-time money making way yet this can be extended by putting in some efforts. Students are always searching for someone who would write their notes, make presentations, assignments, practical files and projects for them. This can be your means to make money and gaining knowledge as well. Writing notes for students can be charged in accordance to one page basis.

This was something a fellow mate in my college use to do and he made some decent money from the same. ClearSlide, Prezi are some other platforms for making impressive presentations that will help you get paid. There is one flaw in the Indian education system, that is, students can always copy the projects of former batches which presents us with a new way to make money. Utilizing the contacts, one can also come up with small shops like the ones which take orders for making presentations, working models and charts. This will also polish, the student’s skills and earn him/her a good pocket money.

2. Start a blog

If you have a passion in life, or simply want to share your experiences, then setting up a blog can be both a fun and profitable pass-time. To make enough money to get through university without a part-time job there are thousands of bloggers who make money by blogging.

Once you’ve set up your blog and written enough valuable content to start attracting visitors, you can begin growing your following via social media and building relationships with fellow bloggers (check out the Student Blogger Selection if yours is a student blog) and related websites and companies. As the site’s following grows, you can monetize your traffic using advertising and affiliate networks like Google’s AdSense, Affiliate Window. You never know, if your blog really takes off it could end up being a full-time job once you are graduate!

3. Freelancing

Freelancer is a self-employed person who offers services, often working on several jobs for various clients at one time. Freelancers usually make money on a per-task basis, charging hourly or daily rates for their work. Freelance work is usually for a short-term.

That being said, as a freelancer you can earn any where from $10 to $100 per hour and $5 to $500 or even more for each project. So basically there are two ways most freelancers get paid. There are also a variety of ways you can earn money by taking projects from others as a freelancer. Register today on freelancer and start earning dollars by using your typing, autocad, adobe illustrator, adobe photoshop, M.S office etc skills.

4. Earning Money from survey

Earning money has always been associated with and restricted to traditional 'offline' ways. With the Internet taking over a large part of our lives, more people are looking to ways to earn money online to increase their financial inflows.

However, you should be careful of the platform that you opt for. While there are numerous ways to earn money online, some of these might be fake, thus taking you for a ride.

Also, do not expect to earn a huge amount quickly when using online avenues to earn money.

Google Opinion Rewards

There are several websites offering money to undergo online surveys, carry out online searches, and write reviews on products. To get the credit, one needs to disclose certain information to them including one's bank details. Before registering on any such websites search on internet about the past user experiences or whether the website is legit or not, do a thorough research then register to start earning money.

5. Become a tutor

This is the easiest way of earning while being a student. Tutoring market is boosting as the education quality in private schools are not that good enough to crack competitive exams, so here you can take advantage by providing home tution or by online tutoring.

An average tutor in india earns 6000/- rupees per month per student...great, isn't it?

But for this you have to search for the students who needs tutor, the most efficient way is to tell your friends to look in their neighbor or go for advertisement.

You can also teach in coaching institutions and start earning 15000/- to 25000/- rupees per month.

It is only that you have to do your homework before teaching on that day just by reading that topic once.

6. Make money on YouTube

Everyone is familiar with YouTube, but how much a YouTuber can earn is a little more mysterious. Recently, the numbers being thrown around for 1,000 views is between 3$ and 5$, meaning that if you get 50,000 views a month you could be generating around 150$-250$. Original content is the most important thing for making money, hundreds of channel are created everyday on youtube but only some channels grow.

Do you know why most of them don't attract viewers attention?

Because their content are not good enough to attract viewers. Before creating youtube channel decide first the content you are going to make, make sure your videos relate to your last uploaded videos (if gaming then post gaming related videos and if technology then post technology related videos) because your subscribers are on your channel for that type of content only. stay away from copyright content because this might cause permanent deactivation of you channel.

Once you start growing on youtube you can earn more money from promotion videos, affiliate marketing and adsense as well.

7. Buy Something and Sell it for More

Well, this is a business itself, the student can buy something and sell it with a profit margin. The thing can be stationery items(books, pen, pencil, notebook etc.), which is much required by the students in a hostel or campus; a food item (especially Maggi after 12 am) and many other things that you might feel required for the vicinity population. This can be a mini business and can earn a good amount if intelligently and thoughtfully persuaded.

This kind of work is executed in almost every city, and we call them ‘retail shops’. So, here we will come up with the same in our college. A tip for this is; ‘wholesale market’. Buy a bulk of stationery or any other stuff you think that can be used in your college and would be of major use to the fellow survivors, and sell it for the market price or a little less if it brings profit.

8. Part Time Jobs

Let’s get the boring and most obvious one out the way. Getting a part-time job is probably the easiest way to generate some extra cash. University cities and towns are full of cafés, stationary, shop, accountant, customer Service, sales consultant and endless other opportunities for intermittent employment.

Remember, here your communication skill plays a major role.

9. Help your Juniors

Remember 'The joker' saying If you're good at something, never do it for free.” in "Batman - The dark night".

If you are good in your field then go for this idea and it will help for sure in making good sum of money.

Help the students by teaching them about the laboratory, helping in assignment, helping in their project, selling your notes, selling books, selling your lab wears, any many other thing which you don't need anymore.

10. Buy and Sell Domains

Buying and selling domains is a great business that you can do from home just by being online.

You can buy and sell domains from various websites but I would suggest you should go for godaddy and before buying any domain don't miss to check the estimate price of that website by checking from here : godaddydomainvalue.

Before buying any domain check for the availability of that domain and the price of the domain. Price vary from as low as 50/- to 199/- rupees per year and then 899/- rupees per year for renewal.

The value of the domain is :

The value of mighlight.com that you bought for 499 rupees is 88,004.49 (1166 USD) Indian Rupee.

Buy good and in demand domains by doing some research.
